A Quick Introduction When a person asks for healing for a physical condition, their own self healing mechanism can be stimulated if they understand that "Illness exists first in the non-physical realm of spiritual need emotional confusion and I would add or mental aberration. It is never primarily physical. The body is the reactor; it vibrates to stress and is an outward manifestation of inner turmoil." This quatation from Emmanual's book (Illness and Healing - p. 159) is making the point that the mind/body is a physiological unit and all mental and emotional stress is eventually expressed in the physical body as discomfort and dis-ease. When this is understood work can begin on releasing the flow of body healing energies. This work requires discipline, focus and sense of purpose and can be described in some cases as painful as old belief systems and emotional habits are broken down. Kahlil Gibran in the 'The Prophet' says "Your pain is the breaking of the shell of your understanding." While from the Agni Yoga book 'Brotherhood' we read "If something appears impossible from the earthly point of view, it may be entirely feasible through the application of subtle energies". A simpler way of describing the path to health could be through: Relaxation (not tense), Release (negativities), Repair (apply positives) to Regeneration (becoming something 'new' that has never been experienced before).
