Janice Haffenden Story A native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said 'I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one.' The grandson asked him, 'Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?' The grandfather answered: 'The one I feed.' ~Native American Story Here's what one of my clients said... "Hi. If you’re reading this testimonial and you wonder why you have been drawn to this site, may I share with you my own experience? I was drawn to Johnathan’s stand at the Personal Development Expo exhibition in the Excel Centre, London. I completed a contact form; and thought… “Can any one help me when I for sure can’t help myself?” I continued the day and enjoyed the opportunities that where offered. I received an email some time later offering me 1 hour of life coaching, ok…I was somewhat reluctant. “Why could anybody help me when I couldn’t help my self?” We exchanged emails and for personal reasons of mobility and cost, Johnathan agreed to coach me over the phone. I found myself quickly at ease as Johnathan talked, it was a different angle to life coaching that I have not experienced before and on reflection I liked it. We exchanged words. A conversation. I felt Johnathan did a lot of the talking at this point. He worked to build up a picture of what I was looking for help with. As we talked his words found a place inside of me, these thoughts caused me pain, it was difficult to recognize and impossible to address them successfully on my own. This was a place for us to begin our work, he was intuitive and with this sensitivity he allowed me to explore my issue, when I spoke he listened and very quickly I felt he had a perception of what was going on from within me. He asked questions that drew from me very locked-in and unexplored parts of my feelings that where not being acknowledged but for their good intentions they felt denied, undervalued, bullied and scared in this environment now created by Johnathan. I felt safe to talk, air my thoughts, be non judgmental to myself and then with more thoughtful questions he encouraged me to offer myself an understanding of my issue. I was able to see things in a more wholesome light, it felt peaceful and right. Wow…in such a short space of time a feeling of honour was stirred. I can still feel it now when I take my thoughts back to when I took this opportunity to move forward, now with knowledge and understanding. What took me to Johnathan’s stand? Did I find him or did he find me? What has brought you to Johnathan today? Does it matter? The important thing is you are now here! And there is an opportunity if you wish to take it, to move forward. It is not easy, this is a journey with many avenues, it can be scary, it appears unchartered but a journey no less that I wish to pursue, it’s better and more satisfying than standing still. I really enjoyed my experience and I learnt something special. Dear reader, can I ask you to be thoughtful and open-minded with your reply? When I asked, “can any one help me? It was because I for sure can’t help myself.” I believe I got Johnathan as a Guide to my reply. Guidance, information, support and encouragement, motivation, sensitivity empathy and intuition, are some of the many life skills offered by a life coach. Thank you Johnathan, I look forward to working with you some more. ~ Janice Haffenden, Life Coach & Holistic Therapist To set up a free introductory 30 minute session email me Click Here to Email Johnathan >>
